The most positive possible spin

For the Rag to acknowledge that Georgia may be fought over by Presidential candidates this year and next, and for votes, not just for money, is progress of a kind.

The GOP vote really took off four years later, when President Bush carried Georgia by a wide margin, and he repeated that strong showing in 2004.
But local backers of Obama and Giuliani say Saturday’s rally may be a sign that public campaign stops are about to become more the rule in Georgia than the exception.
But O, my kingdom for an honest headline! "Georgia may be in play in 2008" is swell, but "Arrogant White Wingnuts no longer Calling All Shots" would be infinitely sweller.
